The CLTS Foundation Team working in Ghana is now in Volta Region preparing for a 5 day training to district level staff. They made a Practice Review visit to the field yesterday 18th May 2013. Progress is being made but not at a fast enough rate to achieve the MDG target on sanitation. It was suggested that government staff cannot achieve this alone and must urgently engage with Natural Leaders, religious leaders and other local organizations to reach communities with the CLTS message. In this picture Dr Kamal Kar is motivating 6 natural leaders who immediately committed to triggering 10 other neighboring communities on hard to reach islands in Lake Volta. With small amounts of support to Natural Leaders they can quickly achieve impact.
