On 9th May 2013, some of the eminent personalities held a meeting with the Secretary MDWS, Shri Pankaj Jain, to discuss way forward to NBA. The members included Shri Deepak Sanan, WSP-SA Team Leader Juan Costain, Senior Sanitation Specialist Ajith Kumar and CLTS Foundation Chairman Dr. Kamal Kar. The Secretary sought formulation of alternative NBA guidelines to provide flexibility to States to choose between approaches and have an incentive to adopt an approach which offers the best option to scale up sustainable collective behaviour change rather than prescribing CLTS in a top down manner.
