Just after two weeks of the Regional ToT conducted by Dr. Kar and his team, several districts of Upper East Region in Ghana started preparing their CLTS-rollout plans. The roll-out strategy development meeting took place in the District Assembly of Nabdam District on 10th September 2013. The meeting was facilitated by Dr. Shayamal K. Saha of CLTS Foundation together with Asamani Cletus, the Regional Environmental Health Officer of Upper east Region. A total of 16 staff members of EHSD district, participated in the meeting. Nabdam District of Upper east Region has set a target of making 20 villages/communities ODF, and develop 15 natural Leaders by February 2014. In a meeting with the CLTS Foundation consultant, ESHD officers and Ms. Vivian Anafo the District Chief Executive of Nabdam while addressing, has promised to provide full support to the implementation of CLTS.
