18th November 2013. The CLTS Foundation is running a 6-day national level training of CLTS Facilitators in Dili, Timor Leste. The workshop has been organised by Besik, the management agency of Australian Aid in collaboration with other national actors including Government of Timor Leste,Unicef, Water Aid and Plan International. Ms Isabella Maria Gomes, Director of Community Health formally inaugurated the workshop by expressing the Government of Timor’s commitment towards the sanitation agenda. Mr. Geoff Prime, the Programme Director of Besik and Aus Aid, has shared the relevance of this training workshop to overcome the challenge of high IMR, Stunting and malnutrition rates in Timor. Dr. Kamal Kar, Mr Alan of Plan International and Mr Ramesh of Unicef have been the other dignitaries on the chair. Fifty CLTS facilitators from all 13 districts are participating in this training programme.
